Privacy Policy — Collège des Apôtres Parent App

This app is the official parent portal of Collège des Apôtres (the “School”). It is provided only to enrolled families, who sign in with credentials issued by the School.

What we collect

• Account identifier. A school-issued login (your family number) and, if provided, a contact name/email/phone — to sign you in and show your family’s information.
• Your family’s school & daycare information. Data the School already holds about your own children — class, report cards, agenda, attendance, conduct, daycare daily reports, balances and payments, documents, and messages — shown only to you.
• Location (optional, foreground only). If you tap “Use my location” to set your child’s bus drop-off point, the app reads your location once to place the pin. You can also tap the map. The app does not track location in the background and does not upload your location.
• Device push token. To deliver notifications.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell or rent your data.
• No ads and no advertising data sharing.
• No background location or location tracking.
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

How the bus tracker works

The live bus position is transmitted by the School’s separate driver application — not by this parent app. This app only reads it to show you the bus. Distance and ETA are computed from that position and your saved drop-off pin.

Data security & storage

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on the School’s systems and its app service provider. Access is limited to authorized School staff.

Children’s data

Information about children is provided and controlled by the School as part of enrollment, and is visible only to that child’s own family.

Your choices & deletion

You may decline the location permission and still use every other feature.

How to request deletion. Email info@apotres.edu.lb or contact the Collège des Apôtres School Office with your family number and ask to delete your account. We action verified requests within 30 days.

What is deleted. Your app login/account identifier, any contact name/email/phone you provided, your saved bus drop-off pin, and your device push token.

What is kept. Your children’s official school and daycare records — enrollment, report cards, agenda, attendance, conduct, balances and payments, and documents — are held by the School as part of its educational and legal/accounting obligations, separately from the app, for as long as required by law and School policy. Deleting your app account ends your access through the app but does not erase these underlying School records.
